Barbara Hepworth. Bronze, Marble, Stone: The Life and Loves of a Sculptor

A fabulous walking tour of St Ives focusing on Barbara Hepworth, one of the town’s most well-known artists who worked as a sculptor and was inspired by the surrounding landscape.

Throughout her life Hepworth gifted some of her sculptures to St Ives town, they were made from bronze, marble and stone. She preferred her work to be outside in the light where she said ‘it can expand and breathe’.

This tour looks at Hepworth’s sculptures and talks about her life and passion for living in St Ives. This activity is also available as an evening talk on site at Cohort.

Nicky herself lives and works in St Ives and her background is in Fine Art and Art History. She has spent many years studying and researching art and artists.
