Throwing Workshop at Leach

Discover: The Leach Story. Through a throwing demonstration, talk and handling collection, participants discover the story of how the Leach Pottery revitalised the tradition of handmade pottery and the ethos and approach of the potters at the pottery across the years.

Make: Participants will experience throwing on a potter’s wheel and, taking inspiration from the ceramics made by the Leach Pottery, will make their own pinch pots.

Pinch pots will be fired and posted back to the group within eight weeks of their visit but this is not feasible for beginners’ thrown pots.

Suitable for: KS3+. Group size: <10 students.

£200/group + costs for bisque, glaze firing & postage
