Press Mould Platter workshop at Leach

Discover: The Leach Story. Through a throwing demonstration, talk and handling collection, participants discover the story of how the Leach Pottery revitalised the tradition of handmade pottery and the ethos and approach of the potters at the pottery across the years.

Make: Learn about the work of potter Janet Leach. Use a ceramic press mould to make a decorative platter. Add feet to your form and make brushes with natural materials to decorate your platters with expressive flicks of molochite slip.

Ceramics will be fired and posted back to the group within eight weeks of their visit.
